Troubleshooting, FAQ, and glossary

Start with the symptom below. If the suggested checks do not solve it, give your team owner or admin the event name, player name, and the action you were trying to complete.

Invitations and accounts

A player did not receive an event invitation

  1. Confirm the player appears under Members and has the correct email address.
  2. Confirm the event attendance list shows the player as awaiting a response.
  3. Send invitations again from the event.
  4. Review the send summary. Players without email addresses are skipped, and delivery failures are reported separately.
  5. Ask the player to check spam or junk mail.

Adding a player to the roster does not itself send an event email. Invitations are sent from each event.

I cannot claim my player profile

  • Open the personal RSVP link sent for that profile and select Sign in and claim or Create account. QuiteEven returns to the RSVP and links the profile after authentication.
  • A profile can only be claimed once.
  • One account cannot claim two player profiles in the same team.
  • If the wrong profile is already linked, ask a team owner or admin to verify the member record and contact support. The ordinary member editor cannot transfer a claimed profile.

I cannot change a member's role

The player must first have an activated account linked to their profile. The owner role cannot be changed from the ordinary member editor.

Members, ratings, and imports

I cannot add or import another player

A Free team can have up to 20 members. Remove an unneeded member or change the team plan before adding more. During an import, select no more players than the number of remaining slots.

A player's position or rating looks wrong

An owner or admin can open Members, edit the player, choose the preferred position, enable every other position they play, and adjust each rating. The preferred position always keeps a rating.

See Rating players before making large changes across the roster.

An import did not add everyone

  • Check the import result for failed rows.
  • Confirm each selected player has the required name and a usable email or supported external identity.
  • Look for an existing member with the same email or external identity.
  • Check the Free-plan member limit.
  • Correct the source export or preview values and import the failed players again.

Events, RSVPs, and waitlists

Why was I waitlisted?

The event reached its capacity. Waitlist order is based on response time, with waiting team members considered before waiting guests when a place opens.

Why did a member replace a guest?

Before the team's guest-priority deadline, a waiting member can take priority over a confirmed RSVP that includes guests. QuiteEven selects the guest-bearing RSVP with the most recent response and marks it guest-waitlisted. Inside the deadline, this guest-priority rule no longer applies.

Why did my calendar not update?

  • A downloaded event file is a one-time copy; download it again after a change.
  • A calendar subscription is a continuing feed, but calendar apps decide how often they refresh it.
  • Confirm the player profile is linked to the signed-in account, the RSVP is eligible for the feed, and the event's team has calendar access.

Competitions and ratings

I cannot generate teams

Confirm that enough players have responded Yes, the event belongs to the correct team, your role is Owner or Admin, and the team's plan supports the selected sport. Resolve any unfinished competition state shown on the event page.

Ratings did not change after a result

  • Badminton updates the relevant Singles or Doubles rating when each result is reported.
  • Hockey applies the accumulated changes when the competition is completed.
  • General uses ratings for balancing but does not change them from reported results.
  • Guests do not keep permanent rating changes.

See How ratings work by sport for the full explanation.

Missing or locked features

If Posts, integrations, a sport type, or a competition action is missing, check both your team role and Settings > Billing. Some actions also appear only at the correct stage of a poll or competition.

Glossary

Competition: The organized play session attached to an event, including generated teams or matches, reported results, and one or more sets.

Guest: An extra attendee attached to a member's RSVP. A guest is not a permanent team member and does not receive a lasting rating.

Integration: A connection to an external service used to fetch or synchronize members or events.

Member: A person on the team roster. In permissions, Member also means the ordinary non-admin role.

Player profile: The team record containing a player's name, positions, ratings, and attendance history. It may exist before the player creates or claims an account.

Preferred position: The player's main position. It is used as the default position and must always have a rating.
