Team Settings Reference
Team settings control the whole organization. Open your team and choose Settings to find General, Import, Integrations, Billing, and Team Members.
Who can do this? Team owners and administrators can open and change team settings. Regular members cannot. Account preferences are separate; see Personal Account and Calendar Settings.
General settings
Select Settings → General, make the change, and use the save button in the relevant section.
- Organization Name: Controls the team name shown throughout QuiteEven. It starts with the name entered during team creation and changes after Save Changes.
- Sport Type: Controls the available member positions and sport-specific team and competition rules. Older teams without a saved sport fall back to Hockey. Changes apply after Save Changes, including the member updates described below.
- Max Players Per Event: Provides the capacity for new events unless an
event has its own limit. The fallback is
-1, meaning unlimited. Changes apply to new events after Save Settings. - Guest Priority Deadline (Hours): Controls how close to an event a confirmed guest-containing RSVP is protected from a waitlisted member. The default is 24 hours, and the saved value is used the next time QuiteEven evaluates a waitlist change.
- Team Names: Supplies names for generated teams. With no custom list, QuiteEven uses Team A, Team B, and so on. Changes apply the next time teams are generated.
Change the team name
- Open Settings → General.
- Edit Organization Name.
- Select Save Changes.
The new name appears anywhere the organization is shown. It does not rename members or events.
Change the sport type
- Review every member’s current ratings before making the change.
- Open Settings → General and select Hockey, Badminton, or General.
- Select Save Changes.
- Open Members and review every position and rating.
Important: Changing sport resets every member to the new sport’s default position: Forward for Hockey, Doubles for Badminton, or Player for General. QuiteEven carries across only that member’s highest existing rating and assigns it to the new default position. Other position ratings are not kept in the active profile.
The new sport determines which positions can be selected and how future teams are generated. Existing events remain, but you should review upcoming events and any competition setup after switching.
Free teams use General for basic rating balance. A Free team that currently uses Hockey or Badminton can keep its current sport or switch to General, but cannot switch from one paid sport mode to another without upgrading.
Set the default event capacity
- Enter the maximum number of players under Max Players Per Event.
- Use
-1for unlimited capacity. - Select Save Settings.
This value is copied into new events when the administrator does not enter another capacity. Existing events keep their saved capacity. Capacity counts confirmed members and their guests; see RSVPs, Guests, Capacity, and Waitlists.
Set the guest priority deadline
Enter a whole number of hours and select Save Settings. The default is 24.
Before that point, a member joining the waitlist may displace a confirmed guest when the event is full. Inside the deadline, the guest is protected. Setting the value to 0 keeps the priority window open until the event begins.
This setting affects waitlist decisions; it does not change the event start time or send an invitation by itself.
Add custom team names
- Enter one name per line under Team Names.
- Remove blank lines and select Save Settings.
During generation, QuiteEven chooses unique names at random from this list. If there are not enough custom names, the remaining teams use Team A, Team B, and so on. Changing the list does not rename teams that have already been generated.
Member roles and access
Open Settings → Team Members to manage the roster and roles.
- Owner: an administrator with ownership of the organization.
- Admin: can manage the team, events, members, imports, integrations, and billing screens.
- Member: can use member-facing team and event features but cannot change team settings.
Role changes apply after they are saved. Be careful when removing administrative access, especially if only one person currently runs the team. For member creation, account linking, editing, and removal, see Managing Members.
Imports and integrations
Import provides one-time Bokat report and Spond spreadsheet imports. Integrations stores connections for repeat synchronization and is visible only when the team plan enables integrations.
Settings for a saved connection include:
- Name: A required label that helps administrators recognize the connection. It changes immediately after saving.
- Integration Type: Selects Bokat or Spond and the credentials it needs. It is chosen when the connection is created and cannot be changed later.
- Auto Sync: Allows scheduled member and supported-event synchronization. It is off by default and affects future scheduled runs after saving.
- Sync Interval: Sets the minimum time between scheduled runs. The default is 60 minutes and the minimum is 5 minutes.
- Active/Inactive: Pauses or allows synchronization without deleting credentials. A new connection is active, and changes apply to later sync attempts immediately.
See Importing Members and Using Integrations for complete procedures and credential guidance.
Billing and plans
Open Settings → Billing to see the organization’s current plan, enabled capabilities, payment status when available, and any access end date.
- Review the current plan and included capabilities.
- If Subscribe is available, select it to open checkout.
- Complete checkout and return to QuiteEven. The page refreshes the team’s subscription status.
Billing belongs to the organization rather than an individual member. Owners and administrators can open the current billing screen. If subscription checkout is unavailable or the button is disabled, billing management is not currently available in this installation; contact the person who provides your QuiteEven service.
Supporter access enables the same customer-facing capabilities as Pro, but is granted separately rather than presented as the normal checkout plan. See Plans, Permissions, and Feature Access.
Settings checklist
After changing team settings:
- Confirm the team name and sport on the dashboard.
- If the sport changed, review every member’s position and ratings.
- Create or inspect an upcoming event to confirm its capacity.
- Generate teams only after checking the custom-name list.
- Check the Billing page when a feature is still unavailable.
