Managing members

The Members page is the team's roster. It shows each person's name, email, team role, preferred playing position, record, and—when viewed by an administrator—ratings and edit controls.

Who can do this? Every linked member can view the roster. Owners and admins can add, edit, and remove members. The owner cannot be removed.

Add one or several members

  1. Open Members and choose Add Members.
  2. Enter a name and valid email for each person you want to save.
  3. Choose the person's preferred position.
  4. Enter the starting rating for that position. New rows start at 1200.
  5. Select Add another to prepare more people in the same form.
  6. Remove any unwanted row with its remove button, then save.

Rows without both a name and email are not added. Each email must be unique within the team. If a multi-person save reports an error, refresh the roster before retrying because earlier valid rows may already have been added.

Tip: Add the full roster before creating events. A player added later is not automatically added to RSVP lists for events that already exist.

What adding a member does

Adding a member creates a player profile with the Member role. It does not send an invitation email.

  • If the email matches an existing QuiteEven account, the profile is linked to that account automatically.
  • Otherwise, the profile remains unclaimed. The player can still receive event emails and respond through their private RSVP link.
  • The RSVP page offers the player a way to sign in or create an account and claim the profile.

See Events and invitations for sending the first email and Member quick start for claiming.

Choose positions and ratings

The available positions follow the team's sport:

  • General uses Player.
  • Hockey uses Forward, Defense, and Goalie.
  • Badminton uses Singles, Doubles, and Player.

The preferred position is the player's main role and must always have a rating. Edit the member to enable ratings for other positions they can play. For example, a preferred Forward may also have a separate Defense rating.

Use Rating players before entering a new roster.

Edit a member

  1. Choose the pencil beside the member.
  2. Update the name or email if needed. An existing email cannot be cleared.
  3. Choose the preferred position.
  4. Enable every other position the person can play and adjust each rating.
  5. For an account-linked member, choose Member or Admin as the team role.
  6. Choose Save.

Changing the preferred position automatically gives that position a rating if it did not already have one. A role cannot be assigned to an unclaimed profile. The owner role is protected and is not offered in the editor.

Warning: Admins can change team data, attendance, settings, imports, and competitions. Grant that role only to people who manage the team.

Remove a member

  1. Choose the delete button beside a non-owner member.
  2. Read the confirmation, then choose Delete member.

This permanently removes the profile and its RSVP records. Completed competition history is retained. If the person should merely stop receiving a particular event invitation, change that event's attendance status instead of deleting the roster profile.

Free-plan member limit

A Free team can keep up to 20 members, including the owner. The Members page shows the current count and remaining capacity. At the limit, adding and importing members is disabled until a member is removed or the team becomes eligible for a higher limit.

See Plans and permissions and Importing members and integrations for other roster options.

What happens next?

When an event is created, QuiteEven prepares one RSVP for every member who is on the roster at that time. Sending event invitations then emails the eligible profiles that have not responded.
