Personal Account and Calendar Settings

Account settings belong to you, not to a team. They control your sign-in methods, email, password, date and time display, theme, and personal calendar feed across your team memberships.

Who can do this? Every signed-in user can manage their own account. Team owners and administrators cannot change another user’s personal settings.

Open the sidebar and choose User settings. The page heading is Account settings.

Sign-in methods

The Sign-in methods card shows which methods are ready to use.

  • Email & Password appears as connected when your account has a password sign-in.
  • Google and Facebook can be connected when those providers are available in your QuiteEven service.
  • An unavailable label means that method has not been enabled for this installation.

To connect a social sign-in:

  1. Select Connect next to the provider.
  2. Sign in with that provider and approve the connection.
  3. Return to Account settings and confirm that it shows Connected.

Use the same social account in the future. A provider account that is already linked elsewhere may not be connectable to this account.

Verify or change your email

Your current email is marked Verified or Unverified.

To verify it:

  1. Select Send verification email.
  2. Open the message sent by QuiteEven.
  3. Follow the verification link within 24 hours.

To change it:

  1. Enter the new address under Change email.
  2. Select Update email.
  3. Open the new inbox and follow the verification link.

Changing the address marks it unverified until the new link is used. The address must be valid, different from the current address, and not already used by another account.

If a message does not arrive, check spam, confirm the spelling, and request another verification message. See Troubleshooting and Glossary.

Change your password

The password section is shown only when Email & Password is connected.

  1. Enter the current password.
  2. Enter the new password twice.
  3. Select Update password.

The new password must contain at least eight characters. If you signed up only with a social provider, manage that provider’s password with the provider itself; QuiteEven does not show the password form for that account.

Timezone and time format

These preferences control how dates and times are displayed to you in QuiteEven.

  1. Under Time preferences, search for and select your timezone.
  2. Choose 12-hour for times such as 1:00 PM, or 24-hour for times such as 13:00.
  3. Check the preview.
  4. Select Save time preferences.
  • Timezone: Uses your browser or device timezone until you save a choice, with UTC as the fallback when it cannot be detected. Changes apply after Save time preferences.
  • Time format: Uses your browser or device convention when it can be detected, with 24-hour time as the fallback. Changes apply after Save time preferences.

Changing your timezone changes how an event time is displayed to you. It does not change the event’s actual scheduled moment for other members.

Theme

Choose System, Light, or Dark under Theme.

  • System follows the light or dark preference of your device.
  • Light always uses the light appearance.
  • Dark always uses the dark appearance.

The change appears immediately and is saved to your account for later sessions. System is the default when you have not chosen a theme.

Subscribe to your personal calendar

The personal feed combines eligible events connected to your RSVPs across your QuiteEven teams. It includes events where your response is Yes, Maybe, Not responded, or a waitlist status. Events you declined are left out.

Plan note: An event appears in the feed only when its team plan enables calendar access. The same plan rule controls the Add to calendar menu on an event page.

Use your calendar app

  1. Under Calendar subscription, select Subscribe to calendar.
  2. Allow your device to open its calendar application.
  3. Confirm the subscription in that application.

The feed can update as events and RSVPs change. Calendar applications choose how often to refresh subscribed feeds, so a change may not appear immediately.

Use Google Calendar

  1. Select Add to Google Calendar.
  2. Sign in to the intended Google account if asked.
  3. Confirm that you want to add the QuiteEven calendar by URL.

Add one event only

When calendar access is enabled for the team:

  1. Open the event.
  2. Choose Add to calendar.
  3. Select Download .ics for a calendar file, or Google Calendar to open a prepared Google Calendar event.

A one-event download is a snapshot. A personal calendar subscription is better when you want future event and RSVP changes to flow into your calendar.

Keep the subscription link private: Anyone with the personal feed address may be able to read the calendar information it exposes. Do not post it in a public chat or document.

Calendar troubleshooting

  • The subscription option is unavailable: your account could not be given a feed link. Sign out and in again; if it remains unavailable, contact support.
  • The feed is empty: make sure your member profile is linked to your account, you have an eligible RSVP, and the event’s team has calendar access.
  • A declined event disappeared: this is expected.
  • An update is delayed: refresh the calendar manually or wait for the calendar application’s next feed refresh.
  • Times look wrong in QuiteEven: save the correct timezone under Time preferences.
  • Times look wrong only in the calendar app: check that application’s timezone settings as well.
