Plans, permissions, and feature access
QuiteEven uses two kinds of access control:
- A team role decides what a person may manage.
- The team plan decides which optional features are available to the whole team.
Team roles
Owner
The owner is the primary administrator for the team. Owners can manage the team, members, events, ratings, imports, integrations, competitions, posts, and billing. The owner player profile cannot be removed like an ordinary member.
Admin
Admins handle day-to-day team management. They can manage members and their ratings, configure the team, create and manage events, send invitations, control attendance, run competitions, and publish team posts when those features are available.
Member
Members can use the everyday team experience: view the team and events, submit their own RSVP, use calendar links, read and comment on team posts, and respond to polls. Management controls are not shown to regular members.
Unclaimed player profile
An admin can add a player before that person creates an account. The player can receive a personal RSVP link and later sign in to claim that profile. Claiming connects the existing team record to the account; it does not create a second player.

Team plans
Free
- Up to 20 members per team.
- New Free teams use the General sport type with one Player position and basic rating-based balancing.
- A Free team that already uses Hockey or Badminton can keep its current sport setting, but cannot switch into a sport-specific mode or use its gated competition engine without an upgrade.
- Optional capabilities such as saved integrations and Team Posts show an upgrade message when unavailable.
- General competitions remain available for basic balanced team generation even though sport-specific competition features are gated.
Pro and Supporter
Both plans currently enable the full set of team capabilities shown on the Billing page: integrations, Team Posts, sport-specific competitions, calendar export, and advanced team generation. They allow Hockey and Badminton and do not apply the Free-plan member limit.
Source of truth: Open Team Settings > Billing to see the team's current plan and the exact capability badges enabled for it.
Why an action may be unavailable
Check these in order:
- Your role: Team management actions require an owner or admin.
- The current plan: A locked page or upgrade card means the capability is not enabled.
- The selected sport: General competition works on Free; selecting or running Hockey and Badminton competition features requires upgraded access.
- The roster limit: A Free team at 20 members cannot add or import another member.
- The workflow state: Some competition and poll actions only appear at the correct stage, such as creating an event after a poll closes.
Changing roles and plans
- An owner or admin can change an activated player's role between Member and Admin from Members > Edit member.
- A role can only be assigned to a player profile that is linked to a user account.
- Billing is managed for the team, not for an individual player. Owners and admins can review the plan and its enabled capabilities under Settings > Billing. The subscription control is enabled only when billing has been configured for the QuiteEven service.
