Team posts, polls, and comments
Use Team Posts to publish an announcement, discuss it with the team, or ask members for their availability before creating an event.
Plan requirement: Team Posts must be included in your team's current plan. If the page shows an upgrade message, an owner or admin can review the plan under Settings > Billing.
Who can do what?
- Owners and admins can publish updates and polls, review named poll responses, close polls, and create events from closed polls.
- Members can read posts, comment, and respond to open polls.
- Anyone with a valid personal poll link can respond for the player named in that invitation without signing in. Treat the link as personal and do not forward it.
Publish an update
- Open your team and select Posts.
- Under Create team post, choose Update.
- Write the announcement.
- Select Post update.
Members can read the update and add comments beneath it. Comments are shown with the person who posted them.
Create a poll
Polls may be hidden until the polls feature is enabled for your team.
- Open Posts and choose Poll in the post composer.
- Enter the question.
- Choose an answer type:
- Options for a list of choices. Add between two and ten options and decide whether members may select more than one.
- Date and time when you want each member to suggest a time.
- Free text for an open answer.
- Set the response deadline.
- Select Publish poll.
The deadline must be within the next 30 days. When the poll is published, QuiteEven emails a personal response link to each roster member who has an email address. Members can also respond from Posts while signed in.
The poll remains open until its deadline or until an owner or admin closes it. A member can save a response again while the poll is open if their answer changes.
Close a poll and create an event
- Review the response totals and, if you are an owner or admin, the named responses.
- Select Close poll when you no longer want changes, or wait for the response deadline to pass.
- After the poll is closed, select Create event.
- Review the event name, date, location, capacity, and other details.
- Create the event, then open it from the poll.
Creating an event does not send event invitations automatically. Open the new event and follow Events and invitations when you are ready to invite the roster.
Tip: Use an options poll when you have a short list of acceptable dates. Use a date-and-time poll when members should propose their own time.
What happens next?
The post stays in the team feed as a record of the discussion. A closed poll cannot accept more responses, and a poll linked to an event provides an Open event action.
Continue with RSVPs, guests, capacity, and waitlists to understand what members see after event invitations are sent.
